It's All In God's Hands!
"Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it."
(Habbakuk 1:5)
I came across this verse today and knew immediately I needed to share it and some thoughts about it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this world is in a state of chaos. With that being the case, for those who have full confidence in The Lord, this should not scare us or be cause for alarm.
As someone who has lived life in the past, on the edge, (so as to speak) I have learned that when things get chaotic that it's actually a sign that change is about to happen! Change I have found comes only after there's a "cleansing and purging" period in our lives and yes, even in our world.
Reflecting on this verse, especially on the part that says "something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it."is so classic me."
By nature I am so theoretical and think so practically that if someone were to say to me "next week you will have a better job paying you twice your salary you are earning now. You will have a chance to have transportation again, not struggle getting back and forth to work. You will LIKE your job and be able to be used to all of your capacities. No more struggles with bills. All of this you are dealing with now is a thing of the past. Yes, things will right themselves in just days..."
If that were to happen, I would look at them and say "okay how is this going to happen? Especially since jobs like those would require I have experience or an education in that area??" But when it comes down to it, if it were God, theoretical me would believe. For I know that God has the means to open any door that He chooses to. With God all things are possible. Even things that could boggle our minds. This is just an example I am using, but you know what? I believe God has far better things in store for you....and for me! Things that far outweigh any earthly thing.
Here's how I feel and what I know. As Creator of all things, Christ has been given all power over all things. At 1 Corinthians 15:27 we read "For He "has put everything under His feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under Him, it is clear that this does not include God Himself, who put everything under Christ." To back this up we read at Matthew 28:18 this: "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.' "
Reading the Habbakkuk 1:5 verse closer, I feel that The Lord is busy setting up things in the way they should be for His return! With each new day I feel that return is getting closer and closer! Remember, everything is subject to His Sovreignty!
One day we too will have a chance to rejoice as we behold the glory of Him face to face! One day we will not have to live with trials any longer! I look forward to that day! To myself, behold the marvels and wonders of what God has done! To be able to see firsthand these verses
" And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
(Revelation 21:3-5)
"And I, in righteousness I will see Your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing Your likeness."
(Psalms 17:15)
