Like many people, we have big dreams and goals. we have desires in our heart. But our prayer should be, “God, not my will, but let Your will be done.” If a door closes, it’s no big deal; we let it go. If our plans don’t work out, no big deal; I know God has something better. We have to learned not get so consumed by a dream that if it doesn’t happen our way, we get all bent out of shape.
God is at work in our life. He is directing our steps. What we think is a setback is going to turn out to be a setup for a comeback! When we surrender our will to Him, when we humble ourselves before Him, that’s when God can take us to another level.
Today, I am going to shake off the self-pity. Shake off the disappointment and realize that God has us in the palm of His hand. Know that He has good plans in store for our future, better than we could ever imagine! Trust Him with your whole heart today and every day!
